Adam grew up in Walpole Massachusetts and attended Walpole High School. While there he was captain of the state champion football team, a sectional champion wrestler, captain of the tennis team and class president. Adam finished third overall in his class, receiving top distinctions as a John Turco Memorial Award winner, which is presented to the student-athlete who excels both academically and athletically. In addition, Adam received Globe and Herald all-scholastic, Super 26, and Shriner’s honors for football.
Adam now resides in Newton with his wife, Elyse and son Trav. When he is not working, he still plays tennis on occasion, snowboards often and travels frequently. If you are looking for him before business hours, you will likely find him at CrossFit Southie working out with his friends. After hours, Adam and his wife are proud foodies and love to explore new restaurants and cuisines.
Professional
Adam pursued his degree at Harvard University, where he studied sociology and economics, with a focus on business and organizational management. Outside of the classroom, he was a major contributor to the Harvard football team, and cofounded a student organization called the People of the Crimson. After completing a thesis on the impact of social subcultures on individual behavioral trends, he graduated Harvard with High Honors in Sociology, and Cum Laude in his class. He was also a recipient of the Hampshire Scholar Award, which recognizes football student athletes who are major contributors and who maintained a high GPA. Adam was selected to this elite group out of approximately 15,000 senior football players.
Prior to becoming full time at Northwestern Mutual, Adam was an intern with the company for two consecutive summers. During the second summer, he participated in a nationwide intern competition, in which he finished in the top 3%. His success story was featured on the front page of the Northwestern Mutual Columns magazine.
Adam translated this intern success into his full time career, finishing his first year as the Mike Gish Award Winner as the top former intern in the country. He continued his growth and success finishing 2nd in the Silver Category for the Eastern Region, and the first national in his third and fourth year.
